The Edge Fund, King Park’s affordable housing loan fund, received a grant from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund to expand its affordable housing lending.
Nearly two years ago, King Park began partnering with IHCDA and the City of Indianapolis with the goal of ending homelessness in Indianapolis.
King Park is pleased to be working with First Merchants Bank and the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana to increase mortgage lending to residents in Marion County’s majority-black neighborhoods and census tracts.
While many traditional lenders have tightened lending standards and restricted credit access, mission-driven lenders like King Park have continued to expand access to safe and affordable credit.
